I made a friend at work. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago, but when I start trying to figure the time, its probably been about 2 years. She was hired on where I work as a student worker, about to graduate with her Bachelor's degree. I was asked to give her a tour of the place, and seeing as I was currently the only female programmer in my department, we hit it off and began talking alot. Long story short, we became really good friends, my best friend, it seems, despite the difference in our ages. Earlier last year her husband was offered the job of his dreams.. in another city half way across the country from where we currently live. They flew out last week. My heart is broken. Despite still being able to text each other, work is no longer the same.
Full quote: "Sometimes it makes me sad, though... Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend." -Red, Shawshank Redemption
My passion is photography. I love capturing the beauty of a moment.
